Membrane bioreactor (Membrane), MBR, is a new type of high efficient wastewater treatment technology which combines membrane separation technology with traditional wastewater treatment technology. Through the efficient separation of membrane components, the separation efficiency is greatly improved, and because of the increase of activated sludge concentration and the emergence of special bacteria in the sludge. To improve the rate of biochemical reactions, the process can greatly decrease the sludge yield (even zero), which basically solves the problems of the traditional biological treatment method of residual sludge yield, large area, low operation efficiency.
